I'm back oop Norf in Preston to look at the M65 motorway... what wonderous delights await... Confusing junctions, cancelled projects, bridges, protests... it's the usual thing really for UK motorways. The M65 comes to an end in Colne.. I'd not heard of it either. But did you know there were talks of building a trans penine motorway much like the M62... yeah well.. You can probably guess what happened to that but I shall at least explain what was supposed to happen. In this series we aim to explore what our motorway network is hiding. As we drive along at 70mph..ish...we simply just wouldn't be aware of what we're missing. This series aims to uncover some of the hidden secrets our motorways have to offer.
