Nadeau Mine, Jawbone CA - A Treacherous Abandoned Gold Mine with a Flooded Trail & a Snake Encounter
On this trip Kirk, Darren & Anna visit Nadeau-Magnolia abandoned gold mine located in Jawbone, CA (close to Dove Springs OHV area in Kern County) which is about 5.5 miles west of hwy 395 & 4.5 miles north of hwy 178. For this destination, we made a pit stop to find where a water flow was originating from before finding a beautiful lookout point and then discovering some snakes on the trail. The desert was particularly beautiful this trip due to heavy rains in the weeks prior. The trip is doable in any 4x4 with good ground clearance.
