This Title Match Network exclusive is from our George South Documentary, produced during Wrestlecade Weekend several years back. Back in the mid 80s when South began his wrestling training in North Carolina, the John Stossel 20/20 report began to make headlines. This is when Stossel infamously asked pro wrestler David Schultz "the standard question" and stated "I think this is fake". The 20/20 documentary crew had been filming many WWF matches at ringside. In one part of the story, Stossel focuses in on a Murdoch match where they showed his punch in slow-motion. This revealed to the audience that some of the strikes were in fact not landing. George explains how he witnessed other wrestlers legitimately beat each other up to prove that the report was untrue.
