A story in which Ellie, for the first time, chooses to live not for the sacrifice, but for herself. What happens if the Fireflies decide to use the cure to control the world? Can the system be changed from within—or must it be destroyed? And what should the ending of the trilogy be to truly close Ellie and Abby's arcs? This is not fanfiction or a retelling.
