Hello and welcome to The Gold Coast Art School channel! Today we're mixing another orange paint colour. This particular shade of orange is bright, vibrant, and saturated. It's "easy" to mix orange paint: just add red and yellow, right? Well, yes that's true, but like all colour mixing, you need to ask yourself some important questions, such as: Which red do I need? Which yellow do I need? What is it about the sample colour that's giving me these answers? How do I fix it if I mess it up? That's what these "Colour Mixing 101 Tutorials" are all about. If you're able to follow along, you'll discover the underlying tones inside paint, whether they are warm/cool, if they lean towards left or right on the colour wheel... lots of good info! We use Art Spectrum oil paints for our videos because they have the best quality for the price. Plus, they're made in Australia. But if you have an alternative brand, use it.
