This story has a recent update. In October of 2015, Amy Vilardi called 911 to alert authorities that she'd discovered her mother, Cathy Scott and her husband Mike Scott murdered in their home along with their parents, Barbara Scott and Violet Taylor. Immediately, Amy Vilardi and her husband Ross Vilardi were suspects but years would pass before the police could put together a case. The Vilardi's had financial problems and Mike Scott had money. There was also tension in the family. The Vilardi's lived on the same property so finding their DNA and fingerprints in the Scott house was not helpful.
