NKY History Hour: Big Bone Lick Part 2 Episode 10

Learn about Boone County’s Big Bone Lick site, so named for the salt lick which once attracted mammoths and other extinct animals to the area. Archaeologist Jeannine Kreinbrink discusses the history of this state historic park, the American Indians who once inhabited it and the explorers who uncovered its prehistoric mysteries in Part 2 of "Exploring Big Bone Lick." Kreinbrink is president and senior archaeologist with K & V Cultural Resources Management, LLC, board member at James A. Ramage Civil War Museum and archaeologist associate at Behringer-Crawford Museum. Hosted by Shane Noem and Tara Johnson-Noem, Vice President of the BCM Board of Trustees, "NKY History Hour" is a weekly offering of Behringer-Crawford Museum focused on Northern Kentucky history, featuring local authors, historians and archaeologists.
