Its main claim to claim includes: A very high degree of internal organization, combined with a relatively large main compartment. There's more organization in this pack than you would find on most non-Aer EDC daypacks! Typical robust materials and execution that we've come to expect from Aer that is among the best you can get within the mass-market / general consumer level brands Has a ton of travel oriented features - load lifters, zip away water bottle pocket, luggage pass through, handles on all sides, multiple quick access pockets, tons of organizations and pockets for virtually everything, etc. Quite robust load carriage system. Thick padding, substantial shoulder straps, an optional hip belt, fairly stiff frame sheet and very solid carry handles on multiple sides. On the other hand, some of its cons include: It's quite heavy and overbuilt - all of its organization, features and robust build come at the expense of weight and It has a surprisingly below average capacity to size/weight ratio - there's so many compartments and features going on coupled with thick construction that when you get down to the main compartment it ends up holding less than you would expect relative to other bags in the market of the same size (and its usually heavier than them too) It's a bit fussy - not only is there a lot of things you need to keep track of (which compartment did I put what in?) the zipper pulls tend to get in each others way across the compartments and I found myself always needing to fuss with the load lifters when I was putting the bag on and laying it flat.
