Sisters of Mary Celebrate 60 Years of Their Founding in Busan, South Korea | EWTN News Nightly

On this day, August 15th, 1964, on the feast of the Assumption, the Sisters of Mary were formed in Busan, South Korea by Fr. Aloysius Schwartz. He founded the group of religious sisters to help serve the poorest of the poor in the spirit of the Gospel. Now, 60 years later, the Sisters of Mary are spread throughout the world, helping the homeless, the sick and underprivileged children in countries like Mexico, Korea and Tanzania, through their girlstown and boystown schools, which provide free education and vocational programs as well as spiritual development.
