I Found Authentic Cambodian Food in Philadelphia 🇺🇸🇰🇭

Today I’m exploring Philadelphia’s Little Cambodia and trying authentic Cambodian food at I Heart Cambodia! 🇰🇭 The owner, Makara, has been serving the community for 15 years, and he chose several dishes for me to experience—including Cambodian seafood noodle soup, bitter flower salad, papaya salad, marinated steak with prahok sauce, and French iced coffee. Some of these flavors completely surprised me, especially the bitter flower salad, which quickly became one of my favorite Cambodian dishes. I also met members of the local Khmer community and learned more about what makes Cambodian food so special. The biggest surprise came at the end when Makara refused to let me pay for the meal.
