La Isla de los Pingüinos: El rompeolas de PERU LNG que se convirtió en hogar de vida marina
Off the coast of Pampa Melchorita, in Cañete, a structure built to protect port operations has become an unexpected haven for marine biodiversity. The PERU LNG breakwater, designed to reduce wave action and provide greater safety for the port terminal, is now home to a significant colony of Humboldt penguins, as well as seabirds, local fish, and other species that coexist among its rocks and concrete blocks. This is the story of an artificial island that nature has reclaimed. #PERULNG #HumboldtPenguins #Biodiversity #PampaMelchorita #Sustainability #MarineLife #Peru
