Ex GRNI loco No.171 'SLIEVE GULLION' on the Midlander: 25/4/26
On the 25th April, i headed to Dublin to catch RPSI's No.171 "Slieve gullion" on the second leg of the Midlander railtour from connolly to Maynooth. Firstly, at Claude road footbridge, 171 is seen churning past with a few whistles rather impressively. Next at Leixlip (Confey) 171 is seen passing tender-first on the return to Connoly. Finally at Dublin Connolly, retro liveried 071 loco: 073 is seen departing on the Cravens transfer for Inchicore works and 171 departs light heading towards Connoly shed where it would reverse back in.
