TC001: S2 E06: SA Touring Cars, 1st May 1993, Kyalami Race Track. In 1993 the first SATCAR race took place at the Kyalami race track in Johannesburg. The inaugural race saw a small field of mostly factory-backed cars racing ahead of the Group N class A cars. The pace was hard from the start and the attrition rate was high with most of the field falling by the wayside.
