MRUV 112: Progress on Eugene East Trackwork
The reconfigured Eugene East is almost done- I say almost because I still need to add a new crossover. This video shows the new track, even some cut and fit (but not yet secured) track for the new South Yard area. For the South Yard I used some Peco Electrofrog turnouts. This is the first I have ever used them, and I decided to make some modifications to them. The frog area is quite large- much larger than I am used to on Fast Tracks turnouts. I didn't like the small frog power wire Peco provided so I show what I did- at least it makes me more comfortable with the turnouts. Once the South Yard track is down it will be time to paint. Then detailing and scenery! We are getting there- slowly but surely. Thank you for watching.
