What the NFL Super Bowl 2026 Halftime Show should be... Heavy Metal Bowl 2026, also known as Heavy Metal Bowl LX Halftime show, presented by Grafikmetal. An annual tradition where we show the NFL and the Super Bowl who the real halftime performers should be, Heavy Metal style. Super Bowl 2026, also known as Super Bowl LX, will take place on February 8, 2026, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, featuring the New England Patriots against the Seattle Seahawks. The halftime show will be headlined by Bad Bunny, with additional performances by Green Day and Charlie Puth. With all due respect to those great artists, Grafikmetal gives you the definitive list of hard rock, hard rock, heavy metal, and extreme metal bands we feel are more deserving to perform at this year's halftime show. Email us at: [email protected] This is the selection show where we announce this year's list of band nominees, with everyone voting for their preferred bands in each of the 5 groups and the winner being announced during the halftime show of the Super Bowl. The requirements for band selections are as follows: The band must be a metal band, can be any of the many sub genres of metal, but they need to be either a very heavy hard rock, metal, or extreme metal band. Just like the NFL, the Super Bowl is made up of the 2 top teams that played in last year's NFL season. Heavy Metal Bowl follows the same rules and thus the bands must be a current active band and have released a new full-length studio album in 2025 or January 2026 to be considered. The bands should be highly engaging live as this is one of the biggest performances there is in the world. Bands from either the host city and or the city represented by the 2 teams in Super Bowl LX, in this case Seattle, Washington and Boston, Massachusetts that a huge advantage as ideally 3 of the bands have tie in with each of those 3 cities. An example of this would be Metallica who are from the Bay Area, CA. International and diversification should also be considered when possible. The task is for people to vote for 1 band in each of the 5 groupings. With the winner being announced in an episode posted at the time the Half Time Show of Super Bowl LX is kicked off.
