Keeping a pool clean is one of the most laborious household chores, but technology promises to change that with the new Aiper Scuba S1. In this video, we thoroughly test this completely cordless robotic pool cleaner, designed to automate the cleaning of the bottom and walls of residential pools. With a compact design, IPX8 sealing, and a tracked traction system, it promises to eliminate the need for tangled cables and heavy hoses. The highlight is its 7800 mAh battery, which theoretically delivers 180 minutes of autonomy, but in our practical tests surprised us by working for almost 3 hours and 40 minutes uninterrupted. The Scuba S1 uses the WavePath Navigation 2.0 system to optimize its path, ensuring that it doesn't wander randomly, but rather intelligently covers the area. It features active PVC brushes that help scrub away grime from the walls, as well as a powerful 75W motor to vacuum fine dust, sand, and small leaves into its 3.5-liter tank. During the video, we show the different operating modes, including Eco mode (perfect for periodic maintenance), Wall mode, and Automatic mode, and how it behaves when it reaches the waterline. However, not everything is perfect. Despite being a robust solution, the Scuba S1 has limitations that you need to know before investing R$ 5,999.90. In our tests, we noticed that it can have difficulties with stair steps and ignores certain areas in pools with very irregular shapes. Furthermore, very large leaves, such as coconut palm leaves, can get stuck in the roller or not be properly vacuumed, requiring manual intervention for heavy dirt or debris floating on the surface. We also address the issue of loading and the ease (or difficulty) of cleaning the debris basket after use. If you are tired of manually vacuuming your pool and are looking for a solution for constant maintenance, this review is essential.
