This piece took a good chunk of my life force. I rarely do full band styled covers and this piece is six minutes long! In comparison, I could easily do five of my regular solo piano arrangements in that time. But it's all worth it! For this version of the song, I had the pleasure of working with ‪@mewsic‬ and her superb vocals, and with my buddy ‪@jmabate‬ who gave me excellent drums, lead guitar and strings. I was actually able to see RADWIMPS perform this song live in London a few months back, and that was excellent as a final motivation to see this mix through. If you want to have a look at the concert, I posted a video from it here:    • RADWIMPS LIVE - London 26.05.23 - Zenzenze...   Although it was quite challenging to find all of the right balances in this track, it was tons of fun! We had a simple and clean setup for this song: The piano, bass and drums act as the foundation, and the solo violin and electric guitar are sprinkled on top on the left and right side respectively, to complete the instrumental. Finally, the vocals are added on top as a sweet blessing for the ears. It's very reminiscent of the original, but we can't afford a full string orchestra of course, and in general it's a bit stripped down to be more akin to a simple, live band performance. This song is one of my favorites from the Suzume soundtrack, so I knew that I had to do it justice. How do you think we did? Let me know in the comments!
