The End of an Era: A Final Ride on the Last HSTs in England!

In today’s video, I’m taking a ride on one of the last remaining HST Class 43 “Castle Class” sets still running in England, travelling from Exeter to Plymouth on one of the most recognisable sections of railway line in the UK! Built between 1975 and 1982, the High Speed Train completely reshaped InterCity travel, and for decades became the backbone of long-distance services across the UK. First introduced on the Western Region, fittingly, it's here that they now operate their final services before retirement. Join me for one of the last opportunities to experience a true British railway icon in service, from the interiors and comfort to the views that have accompanied these trains for almost five decades. This might be the end of an era… but what a journey it’s been! As always thank you to everyone who supports the channel!
