Integrated Pest Management - Dr Jim Walker
Integrated Pest Management or IPM is an important ecosystem based strategy for managing pests in commercial orchards and field crops. Dr Jim Walker from Plant & Food Research has been working on IPM technologies for many years. His research led to the highly successful Apple Futures programme which significantly reduced pesticide use in Apple orchards in New Zealand.
