#12 A long 36-hour journey to hug my honey and pick up life in Cebu, the Philippines again

The morning started with waking up at 4 AM and hitting the road by 5 AM. My dad drove me to the train station in Germany, which is just a 15-minute drive from our house. From there, I took the ICE high-speed train to Frankfurt International Airport for my flight to Shanghai Pudong Airport. It was a long journey, but the ticket was so cheap compared to other flights right now that it made the 13-hour layover totally worth it. I was able to relax, eat, get some sleep, work, and of course, stay in touch with Honey in the China Eastern Airlines lounge. The trip was exhausting, but the final leg from Shanghai to Cebu wasn’t too badjust a 4-hour flight. Arriving in Cebu felt like coming home. The friendly staff at Cebu International Airport, the kind taxi driver, the friendly crew at Jollibee in the middle of the night, and the prospect of hugging my Honey again made up for everything. It's amazing to pick up life in the Philippines again. Welcome home, welcome Philippines, welcome baby
