2x Otis-LG New Wing Elevators @ Imperial Palace*****, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea

These elevators were installed in 2005 along with the opening of the hotel's New Wing, and serve all guestroom floors within the building. Both cabs were panoramic, allowing the passengers to get a view of the neighborhood. These were helical-geared traction models developed by LG, and featured rounded rectangular metal buttons and segmented indicators released in late 1990's. With mahogany walls and fake stained-glass ceilings, their interiors were coherent with the rest of the hotel's Bavarian theme. They also had "curtains" installed next to the panoramic windows, though it wasn't clear if they were actual functioning curtains or purely decorative. Although their actual speed was not so fast, it seemed quite so due to the "panoramic" effect and abrupt accelerations. Executive floors including and above 15 were restricted, and required a key for rooms on those floors to select them.
