Quick Look & Paint: Victrix Medieval Foot Sergeants [How I Paint Things]

Some of the first 'professional' soldiers, sergeants were ordinarily non-nobles who performed a lot of the skilled work necessary to support an army. Mounted sergeants often served in a light cavalry role, skirmishing and reporting on enemy movements, while foot sergeants tended to be better armed, equipped, and trained than the peasants drafted into their lord's service as levies.
