BNSF 4700 North | Warbonnet With a Narrow-Font K5HL

4700, my favorite of the 4700 numbered Warbonnets, or 'Fakebonnets' as some call them. ‪@longmontrailfan7972‬ and I got wind about this train making its way up the Front Range, so we wanted to commence chase. We got to Boulder and waited, and waited, and waited... After lots of waiting we hear the MP 38.3 Defect Detector go off and realized that we had missed it!! Thankfully it was the DENLAU, and like usual they had work in Longmont. We got to the yard just in time to capture it pulling out. We then would move up to Atwood to capture the departure. We gave up on the idea of chasing, and just concluded with our shots on Atwood, but still very funny story! 4700 also has a narrow-font K5HL horn, which is really unusual, as those types of horns are most commonly found in the early gevo models, not Dash 9s. Sounded really sweet though being forward facing and all. Enjoy! Also Happy 8th Birthday to Longmont Railway!! BNSF Front Range Subdivision Filmed: September 23rd 2023 - Check out my...
