Vitiligo is a chronic disease characterized by visible light patches on various parts of the body, such as the hands and face. It is a complex immunological disorder that affects between 0.5 and 2 percent of the global population. We discussed the disease, available treatments, and those currently under investigation in Milan during an in-depth meeting with Professor Mauro Picardo, UniCamillus International University – Rome; coordinator of the European Task Force on Vitiligo.
