Maraga pledges economic reforms, calls for action on corruption

Chief Justice Emeritus David Maraga has pledged to fix the country’s economy if elected president. Blaming the current administration for the economic crisis, Maraga says corruption has reached worrying levels and is calling for an urgent national conversation to address what he terms systemic rot. According to Stephen Leto, leaders from the Linda Mwananchi coalition who attended Maraga’s State of the Nation address, led by Saboti MP Caleb Amisi, are engaging him on forming a joint coalition with the Edwin Sifuna faction.
