Some Days the Shower Is the Final Boss | 50+ Single Mom Vlog

When small things feel impossible, sometimes the only way I can begin is to hit record. This is a real few days in the life of a 50+ single mom trying to get unstuck while job searching, dealing with money stress, taking care of Harissa’s fish tank, checking in on Ralphie, hanging out with Frances, going live, and eventually taking a couple DoorDash orders. The kids were with their dad for Father’s Day weekend, and I thought I would use the time to get ahead. Instead, I found myself dealing with that familiar feeling of knowing exactly what needs to be done—but struggling to begin even the smallest things. I do not know whether it is burnout, chronic stress, executive dysfunction, functional freeze, or all of the above. I just know that sometimes taking a shower, leaving the apartment, or starting one small task can feel much bigger than it should. Filming does not fix my life, but it gives me one place to start. Knowing you are all rooting me on is the difference between getting things done and just freezing, not even able to take a shower. Thank you for spending the day with me.
