Norton Commando Engine Rebuild. Part 39: Fitting the Gearshift Mechanism
This video is part of a series covering the full strip down and rebuild of a MKII 850 Norton Commando engine. This particular video shows the Gearbox gearshift mechanism being fitted into the outer casing with new oil seals. The large pawl spring is then adjusted to give the correct amount of clearance from the pawl before the whole assembly is tightened down ready for the outer gearbox casing to be fitted to the inner casing..
