This project is a simple but classy shadow box that you can make in one weekend with just one board. This shadow box is centered around an American flag at the bottom and includes rank insignia, ribbons, and a plaque inside with a black felt background, but you can put anything you want inside it. It's made out of a single red oak 1x4 you can get from a big box store, with some plexiglass, plywood, and other materials I list below.
