“Lluvia, barro y niebla en Colombia | Kilómetros de pura tensión”

After an incredible morning in Monguí, one of those towns that seems frozen in time, we continued on to Villa de Leyva, probably one of the most beautiful and popular tourist destinations in Boyacá. Everything had been perfect. Until we decided to take a dirt road that, in theory, was only a few kilometers long. But the mountains had other plans. The rain started to fall harder and harder. The mud turned into an ice rink. The fog barely allowed us to see a few meters ahead, and before we knew it, night had fallen on us in the middle of the road. Every meter demanded maximum concentration. Every curve had to be measured down to the centimeter to avoid ending up on the ground. It was only a few kilometers… but incredibly intense and exhausting. And after crossing rain, mud, fog, and darkness, we finally arrived at a dreamlike place hidden among the mountains of Colombia.
