Automatic tool changer with a smart tool head that changes extremely thin, passive tools via front pick and drop. Induction heating with contactless, wireless temperature sensing; Self-adjusting Dynamic Dual Drive automatically adjusts the filament pretension. Manufacturer specifications: Tool change up to ~12 seconds, heating to print temperature from ~4 seconds. Planned market launch: end of November 2025. Bambu Lab Vortek (H2C). Focuses on hotend assembly change (Plan C): inductive, wireless heating plus a wireless temperature/communication PCB in the hotend (without pogo pins). Hotend assembly: ~10 g, 20 × 15 × 56 mm. Up to 7 hotends (1 left "lift" + 6 inductive interchangeable hotends) without purge waste; with purge, up to 24 colors/materials are possible. H2C and upgrade kits for H2 printers are announced for Q4; H2C shipping by the end of 2025; H2D upgrade possible (complicated), H2S upgrade technically possible but not recommended. Snapmaker U1. CoreXY-FDM with SnapSwap™ exchange system; 4 toolheads included, only 5 seconds changeover time thanks to the "real" tool changer. Build volume 270 × 270 × 270 mm; max. toolhead speed 500 mm/s, acceleration 20,000 mm/s². 0.4 mm stainless steel nozzle, max. 300°C.
