From Ruins to Warmth… A Simple Family Meal After the Storm | Ly Tieu Yen After a night of a heavy storm, our small garden was badly damaged. The star apple tree and jackfruit tree were broken, and our bamboo grove was knocked down. Not only us, but many of our neighbors were also affected. On the same day, Hoang asked our neighbors to come and help rebuild the roof where I usually boil water. Everyone worked together with kindness and warmth, making the day feel less heavy. Meanwhile, Hoang and I prepared a simple meal to thank everyone. I served the fermented sour pork I made a few days ago, and I was truly happy that everyone enjoyed it. It was a tiring day, but also filled with love, support, and togetherness.
