1955 Bendix Gyromatic Tumble Action Washer - fully restored!

A full cycle clip of the recently restored Bendix Gyromatic washer! This Bendix was recently restored after sitting idle for decades. A ton of hours went into the tear down, parts cleaning, parts sourcing, and reassembly of this fine US made appliance. While not as flashy as other washing machines from the same era, Bendix was the leading pioneer in automatic laundry and continued to produce a wonderful product through the 1950's. By the turn of the decade Philco had bought Bendix from Avco and dramatically changed up the laundry appliance offering, dropping the stand-alone front load washer after the 1958 model year. This particular Bendix example is quite possibly one of the only functioning Gyromatic washers running today.
