This time, I'll be sharing the story of Aoto and Sora's 3.5-year-old health checkup, specifically their vision test. To our surprise, the result was "further examination required." They didn't seem to have any particular vision problems in their daily lives, so I was honestly very surprised. Afterward, a detailed examination at the ophthalmologist revealed that both children were diagnosed with amblyopia (lazy eye). Like Aoto and Sora, they both have hyperopia and astigmatism. Early detection and treatment are crucial for amblyopia. When we started looking for children's glasses, we were surprised to find that there are surprisingly few stores that carry glasses for children around 3 years old. We considered children's eyewear specialty stores, but they were quite far from our home, so we decided to buy them at our local Paris Miki. After trying on various glasses there, we finally chose Tomato Glasses. The safety, lightness, and the ability to make fine adjustments to fit children's faces were the deciding factors.
