「ナガサキ・ユース代表団」15期生の募集は来月から　ウィーン国際機関との対話で核問題を学ぶ

Nagasaki University announced and recruited members for two projects aimed at developing human resources for realizing a world without nuclear weapons and building peace. The first is the 15th cohort of the "Nagasaki Youth Delegation," organized by the Nagasaki Liaison Council for Nuclear Weapons Abolition. Targeting young people in Nagasaki Prefecture interested in nuclear issues, the delegation will learn about the current global situation surrounding nuclear weapons and travel to Vienna in April of next year. There, they will learn about diverse perspectives through dialogue with officials from the International Atomic Energy Agency and diplomats from various countries. Applications will be accepted from the 13th of next month until the end of August. Nagasaki Liaison Council for Nuclear Weapons Abolition Chairman, Chōzen: "What peace means differs depending on each person's background, and it is with this understanding that we will appeal for peace from Nagasaki." Additionally, the Nagasaki University Research Center for Nuclear Weapons Abolition, in collaboration with the "Hiroshima Peace Creation Organization" and the British think tank "BASIC," selected members for the international human resource development project, "Building Peace Through Dialogue." Six people each from Japan and overseas have been selected. They will engage in online dialogues on topics such as "the role of atomic-bombed cities" and "security that does not rely on nuclear deterrence," and will present their reports in Nagasaki and Hiroshima in February and March of next year.
