How to Play Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se on Harmonium (Tutorial & Notation) - Smart Music My dear subscribers and members, All my songs are notated using the first black button on the harmonium as 'Sa' or 'Shadaj'. My channel makes no claims about which raga or thaat any song is based on. The sole purpose of my videos is to help those who lack much knowledge of music and want to play songs on their instruments. I am fully aware that when playing any song, the first black button on the harmonium should not always be considered 'Sa'; rather, the 'Sa' or 'Shadaj' of the song should be determined based on the scale, raga, or thaat of the song. This is done because all new students of music practice the 'Sargam', 'Alankar', or 'Raag' for the first time, considering this first black button as 'Sa'. In this process, they completely memorize this 'Sa' and other notes and become accustomed to it. Therefore, if they have to consider 'Sa' as any other button, it becomes difficult for them to learn the new names of all the buttons. However, for those with knowledge of music, this is a small thing. Now, considering this first black button as 'Sa' means that you cannot see the names of the notes based on the raga. For example, if a song is based on a raga that uses soft notes, but in my video notation, that note appears pure, only because I have considered the first black button of the harmonium as 'Sa'. If a soft note is played in a song, that note is actually being played soft. That's why the song plays. If the komal note wasn't played, how would the song be played? But the notation makes the notes' names easy, allowing new students to quickly place their fingers on that note without any difficulty. Another thing: the basis of my videos isn't classical music, but the Western scale. My videos are created with the Western scale in mind. Considering the harmonium's first black screen, i.e., button, as 'Sa' or 'Shadaj', the notes' names are written in the notation accordingly. Finally, believe me, by reading the comments on the video, you can understand how many people have appreciated this effort.
