Tangana, the most prolific member of the Madrid-based collective Agorazein. During the interview, the artist talks to us about his outlook on life, the relationship between art and money, family, and philosophy. The artist explains, "I make music with some friends." I have 30 cousins, and I talk to all of them. 80% of my social life is my family. I have a lot of family heritage. I studied philosophy because I liked to read. I didn't want to spend five years doing something I didn't like. I got it right; you can get your degree reading at home. I try to get up and do what I want. I'm very stubborn about that. It seems difficult, that you have to do things the way you've been told. But if you really want something, you do it. People have a one-day taste; they don't really get things into their heads. You get what you seek. There are other people who don't work hard. Without music, I couldn't have the life I have." Video by Patrick Urbano, Aleix Mateu, and Irene Mansilla for Código Nuevo.
