Crochet Rose Vase Tutorial 🌹 (No Wires or Glue)

The Rose (US H/8 Hook) • Foundation: CH 39. • Row 1 (V-Stitch): DC in 6th CH from hook. SK 2, (DC, CH 2, DC) in next CH. Repeat from * to * across. (12 V-Stitches) • Row 2 (Shell Stitch): Sl st into 1st CH-2 gap, CH 3 (counts as 1 DC). Work 4 DC in same gap. *SC in BLO of next st, 5 DC in next CH-2 gap*. Repeat from * to * across. (12 petals). • Finish: Fasten off leaving a 16.5-inch tail. Roll tightly at the center, keeping the bottom flat (don't let it cone!). Sew securely through the bottom layers. 2. Sepal & Leaves (US H/8 or G/6 Hook ) • Sepal R1: MR, 10 SC. Join with sl st. • Sepal R2: *CH 5, sl st in 2nd CH, SC, HDC, DC. SK 1 on base, sl st in next. Repeat from * 5x total. Fasten off. • Leaves (Make 2): CH 12. • Work down side: SC in 2nd chain, HDC, DC, 5 TR (in separate sts), DC, HDC. 3 SC in last CH to turn. • Work up opposite side: HDC, DC, 5 TR (in separate sts), DC, HDC, SC. 3. Flower Base: Sew the sepal to the bottom of the rose, anchoring the points flat against the petals so they don't droop. Sew stem to center of sepal. 2. Yarn Tail Hack: Stuff your long, remaining yarn tails straight inside the hollow stem tube to serve as firm, zero-waste stuffing! 3. Leaves: Sew the top of the first leaf into the stem. Extra stitches on the top of the leaf to stem/sepal to prevent drooping Mirror on the other side with the second leaf. 4. The Bow: Pinch the center of the main loop (keep the seam in back), place the tails behind it, wrap the center band around, and double-knot at the back. Tie the long vase chain to the back of the bow, wrap it around the vase neck, and sew closed. 5.
