The Panama Berry/Jamaican Cherry or Strawberry tree (Muntingia calabura) is a tropical evergreen fruit tree that thrives in warm climates and fruits abundantly. While this tree is tolerant of many soils and grows well even in Phoenix Arizona summers, it is frost intolerant. Here I share an example of a young tree I am growing in 9B and what I have learned.
