Hurdy Gurdy Tuner - G/CTuning (A=440) (French-Auvergnat) Traditional Tuning The Hurdy-gurdy is a string instrument that produces sound by a hand-crank-turned, rosined wheel rubbing against the strings Melodies are played on a keyboard that presses tangents—small wedges, typically made of wood or metal—against one or more of the strings to change their pitch There is no "standard" tuning for this instrument, but G/C and D/G are the most employed ones. This example has 2 melody strings but there are with 3, 4 or even 4.
