RSGB Tonight@8: Recycling of waste electronics and batteries by Mark Foreman, G7LSZ / SA6BID

In the talk, Mark will discuss the basics of the recycling of waste electronic and electrical equipment. He will concentrate on aluminium, steel and batteries. About the presenter: Mark Foreman, G7LSZ/SA6BID is an associate professor of industrial materials recycling at Chalmers University of Technology in Göteborg, Sweden. He has been working on the science of recycling since 2007. Before then he spent around six years developing molecules for the separation of americium. He has had an interest in electronics from a young age and at the age of 16 this metamorphosed into an interest in radio electronics. He has held a UK amateur radio licence (G7LSZ) since the age of 18 and later obtained a Swedish licence (SA6BID). First shown on 13 April 2026
