Is Knitting Therapy? Replying to your stories

Is knitting therapy? A couple of weeks ago I uploaded a vlog called *Knitting & Neuroscience*. I thought a handful of fellow fibre nerds might enjoy a deep dive into what knitting does to the brain.    • What Knitting Does to Your Brain | The Neu...   What I didn't expect was over 30,000 views, thousands of likes, and hundreds of deeply personal comments. I spent days reading your stories. Stories about loss. Stories about resilience. Stories about illness, recovery, anxiety, ageing, and starting over. Stories from people who had been knitting for a few months, and stories from people who had been knitting for seventy years. And despite all of our different backgrounds, countries, and life experiences, one theme kept appearing: Knitting was there. It was there during grief. It was there during uncertainty. It was there during some of life's most difficult chapters. So in this week's vlog, I'm replying to your comments. Together, we'll explore the ten themes that appeared most often and what psychology might have to say about them. So grab your WIP, make yourself a drink, and let's get sensitive. 🧶💖 ✨ Find my knitting patterns: arlyknits.com 📷 Instagram: @arly_knits Thank you for trusting me with your stories.
