The Impuls 3 ESD162 from NEWAG is the latest "hybrid" multiple unit being built for PKP Intercity. In this video, I show the interior, travel comfort, equipment, seating layout, and key technical parameters of this modern unit. The Impuls 3 (65WE) is a dual-drive train that can run both under the overhead line and on non-electrified lines. The unit reaches speeds of up to 160 km/h under the line and up to 120 km/h in diesel mode. The train offers 179 seats, including 21 in first class, space for people with disabilities, bicycle racks, a modern passenger information system, air conditioning, monitoring, and enhanced comfort zones.
