On the following weekend from June 13th-15th and July 2nd-3rd, we head to Pennsylvania to chase the world’s largest steam locomotive in operation, The Union Pacific “Big Boy” 4014. This is the first time the 4014 has been east of the Mississippi River since being built in Schenectady, New York in the 1940s. This video features the Reading & Northern 2102 being recognized as the loudest steam locomotive in operation along with Reading & Northern 1776 and 2026 pulling from Nesquehoning to Reading Pennsylvania. This video shows all of the people trackside their ambition for the Union Pacific “Big Boy” for the first time being a once in a lifetime experience wether it’s locals, railfans and people around the country to come see the Big Boy.
