South Africa Today on 25 June 2026

Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today on 25 June 2026. Today in South Africa, we begin the video with the litter and encroachment problem at Hartbeespoort Dam, South Africa, today. Then a peaceful march at Hillcrest in the KwaZulu-Natal Province. Springboks from the balcony at Game View Lodge, in Vryburg. Beautiful Howick Falls. Zebra grazing next to the fence at the Cradle of Humankind. End of term school function at Old Boys in East London. Staff World Cup celebration in Benoni Junior School. A big congratulations to the Bafana Bafana team. A pack of wild dogs on the road in the Skukuza region of the Kruger National Park, and we will show you more from across South Africa Today. The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows: An upper-air trough is forecast to intensify into a cut-off low just west of South Africa, bringing scattered rain and thunderstorms to the western interior overnight, with wet weather spreading to the southern coast by Thursday. These storms may be intense, featuring heavy downpours, strong gusty winds, and large amounts of small hail, especially over the southern Northern Cape Province and eastern Western Cape Province, where the South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms. Residents in affected areas should be prepared for possible localised flooding, reduced road visibility, and potential disruptions to outdoor activities. Elsewhere, conditions will remain mostly stable, though all regions should stay updated as the system develops.
