Even though the fig tree does not blossom, nor is there fruit on the vine; the olive crop fails, and the fields produce no food; Though the sheep be taken from the fold, and there be no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will exult in the God of my salvation.” Habakkuk 3:17-18 ☕ Coffee of the day: Imagine Habakkuk's situation, with no harvest in sight, unable to count on his produce, without even the prospect of securing his own sustenance. I imagine this man worked so hard, strived so diligently, dedicated himself so much, and yet, due to adverse circumstances, he did not achieve the result he expected. This man could have been frustrated, he could have murmured, but he maintained his joy in the Lord. He must have had a family, and he needed to provide for them, he must have had bills to pay, in short, just like us today, since that time man has faced the same problems. But he believed in the same God we believe in, a God who is able to renew our hope, because we can believe in His faithfulness, and because we can rest in the certainty that He supplies all our needs.
