The adventure began with breakfast and packing essential trekking gear, including a windcheater, umbrella, and sun protection jacket to prepare for Normandy’s ever-changing weather. I then boarded a local bus costing just €2 and enjoyed a spectacular journey through the beautiful Normandy countryside filled with rolling green farmlands and charming villages. After arriving in Étretat, I explored the town’s picturesque streets before catching my first glimpse of the famous beach and dramatic white chalk cliffs. The hike to the top rewarded me with some of the most stunning coastal views I’ve ever experienced. From the iconic natural arch to the turquoise waters of the English Channel, every moment felt like a postcard. After enjoying the cliff-top scenery, I walked back down to the beach, watched seagulls soaring above the waves, explored the shoreline, and picked up a few souvenirs for family and friends before taking the bus back to Le Havre.
