President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has thanked the President of the Russian Federation, His Excellency Vladimir Putin, for donating military and engineering equipment worth 53 million US dollars to Uganda, describing the gesture as a continuation of the historic friendship between the two nations. The President, also the Commander-in-Chief of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF), made the remarks while receiving the donation at the College of Logistics and Engineering in Magamaga, Mayuge District. “These equipments, all of them are good. The obstacle clearer, trench digger, machines like the boats, and then the workshops, and the coastal station. They are all very important. What the Russians have done is ‘okuroza’, President Museveni said.
