I have wrapped up the operation of my Naver and Tistory blogs, which I have maintained for approximately four years since 2022. Although I spent that time writing and analyzing data every day after work, I reached the conclusion that continuing these operations would be inefficient due to the recent rapid changes in the platform environment. At one point, I even generated additional revenue through my Naver blog and experienced AdSense earnings on Tistory. However, due to recent changes in search algorithms, my primary traffic sources were blocked, and my exposure frequency plummeted, leading to what is commonly referred to as a "low-quality" status. This video is a record objectively reviewing the actual revenue data and changes in traffic sources I obtained through my blogs over the years. It captures the reality faced by traditional text-based blogs as the center of information shifts toward video platforms, alongside the rise of mass-producing blogs utilizing AI tools. Rather than a failure, the past four years were a time to confirm the risks inherent in a pipeline dependent on a single platform. I hope my record serves as a candid reference for those contemplating the lifespan of a blog as a platform, or for those preparing for a new side hustle.
