Ghost, a gray horse affectionately known as "Obake-kun" and renowned for his work at the JRA and Kochi Racecourse, made his debut as a lead horse at Nakayama Racecourse on the 13th. For his "first day on the job," Ghost showed up wearing a ghost patch. He seemed a little nervous at first, but his confident work ethic was hard to believe for a rookie, and he was immediately tasked with leading the horses from the back of the pack for all of the races from day one.
