Verde River @ Tuzigoot AZ with Paddleboard Places

Join us as we explore the Verde River south of Sedona, AZ. We launched at the Tuzigoot access to the Verde River in February. We quickly found that there were rapids on both ends of the river, so we were a bit stuck. Even after exploring ways around the rapids, we could not find an easy way to get passed them. So we paddled back and forth from one end of the river to the other and made it fun. We suggest bringing 2 cars on this trip and parking 1 at the Tuzigoot parking lot, and taking the other up river so you can ride the rapids down. You'll love the fish and birds along the way. This is a beautiful river and probably very scenic in the spring and summer when all the trees are in bloom.
